Shayna Mace is a writer and editor based in Madison, Wisconsin. She’s always had a passion for local journalism and has spent much of her career writing about the people and places that make a city unique. She started her career as an editor at a city-regional magazine and has also worked in the e-commerce/startup world as a creative director, in the social media realm as a social media manager, as a freelance writer for various media outlets and has even styled and art directed many, many photo shoots along the way. As a fixture on local television for the last twelve-plus years, Shayna has also appeared in regular TV segments as a style and lifestyle expert on the CBS affiliate in Madison for several years, and now appears on NBC15 monthly in her role as editorial director for BRAVA Magazine. At BRAVA Magazine, Shayna works with the BRAVA staff and contributors to craft the most compelling content for publication’s bimonthly print magazine, website and social media channels. In her time with BRAVA, the publication has won Milwaukee Press Club Awards for publication design and best cover design. She considers herself fortunate to learn about, partner with and publicize the women in the pages of BRAVA who are making Madison a better place to live. In her downtime, she appreciates an enthralling read — whether it’s a feature on a pressing current issue or a beach read by Taylor Jenkins Reid. She also loves spending time with her husband, son and daughter, whether it’s exploring a new restaurant, area of the state or on a family vacation.
