Degree Wellness Middleton
6230 University Ave., Middleton, degreewellness.com/locations/middleton-wi
Opened: 2026
Studio manager: Mari Foster (The Middleton location is owned by John Hernan. Degree Wellness is a franchise business and is woman founded.)
Studio manager’s background: I’ve been in health and fitness for over 30 years as a fitness manager, instructor and trainer. Years ago, I started exploring modalities beyond fitness, including massage, acupuncture, acupressure, dry needling and cupping.
Services offered: Cryotherapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, NAD+, red light, contrast and oxygen therapies, IV therapy and nutrient shots, and compression massage.
What’s beneficial about your services? All of our offerings share one goal: optimizing how your body recovers, repairs and adapts to stress at a cellular level.
The wellness habit I never skip: Getting outside for at least 10 minutes every morning and meditating every evening.
My favorite service: Red light therapy/cryotherapy combo. After years of teaching fitness classes, my body needs the recovery, and it supports my joints.
Ether Wellness
25 N. Pinckney St., Ste. 310, etherwellnessmadison.com
Opened: 2025
Owner: Kari Mysker
Owner’s background: I’m a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, Girls Gone Strong women’s coaching specialist, certified yoga teacher and athletic mat Pilates instructor, with additional specializations in strength and conditioning, corrective exercise, recovery, pregnancy and postpartum movement, menstrual cycle and menopause support, and nervous system practices.
Services offered: One-on-one strength and embodiment coaching and semi-private coaching. Ether Wellness also offers group classes and special events, studio memberships and Gather & Grow, our community-focused membership and gathering space.
What’s beneficial about your services? Strength training helps women maintain muscle, bone health, mobility and independence as they age, while practices such as breathwork, mindfulness, yoga and nervous system regulation can support stress management, recovery and greater body awareness.
The wellness habit I never skip: One of my favorite daily routines is a few minutes of gentle movement and tapping first thing in the morning. I move through a simple series of movements to wake up my joints and reconnect with my body, followed by light tapping throughout the body.
My favorite service: With coaching, I love getting to know the woman in front of me — what she wants, what’s getting in her way, what her body is telling her — and helping her discover an approach to wellness that actually works for her life.
Hydralive Therapy
601 Junction Rd., Ste. 3, hydralivetherapy.com/location/madison
Opened: 2025
Owners: Kate Erickson and Cassie Mortensen (Erickson’s answers are featured below.)
Owners’ backgrounds: I’ve spent the last 12 years caring for patients — first as a medical-surgical nurse and then as a family nurse practitioner in primary care. Cassie has spent her career as a licensed clinical therapist supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them prioritize their mental wellbeing.
Services offered: IV vitamin therapy and vitamin injections, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, cryo- therapy and medical-grade red light therapy.
What’s beneficial about your services? Helping women feel energized, confident and like themselves again is why we built Hydralive. Our goal is to help people feel their best from the inside out.
The wellness habit we never skip: Our medical-grade red light therapy. We’ve personally experienced the difference it has made in our energy, recovery, skin health and overall wellbeing, and it’s one of the few moments in the day where we intentionally slow down and recharge.
Our favorite service: A glutathione IV. It’s often called the body’s “master antioxidant” because it helps reduce oxidative stress, supports liver function, promotes healthy skin and plays an important role in metabolic health.
Hydrate IV Bar
4707 Madison Yards Way, hydrateivbar.com/locations/madison
Opened: 2026
Owners: Shahayra Majumder (majority owner) and Jonathan Chizever. (Majumder’s answers are featured below.)
Owner’s background: I worked in the health care industry at Panasonic Healthcare, Epic Systems, Included Health (formerly Grand Rounds), Myndshft (prior to its acquisition by DrFirst) and Esker before starting my own business.
Services offered: IV “cocktails,” which are combinations of vitamins and nutrients to aid specific wellness goals.
IV offerings include: NAD+/Niagen NR, wellness injections, aminos and peptide injections.
What’s beneficial about your services? IV injections can support energy production, mental clarity, healthy aging, athletic recovery, overall cellular function, metabolic health — and have many other benefits.
The wellness habit I never skip: I believe wellness starts from within — both in terms of what you put into your body and what thoughts you choose to focus on. For me, that looks like practicing daily gratitude conversations with God, thanking Him for all my blessings.
My favorite service: I like to build my own IV and receive a high-dose, glutathione-only infusion about once a week. I feel so much more energetic and clean, like I’m glowing from the inside out after one of these IVs.
FACE FOUNDRIÉ Madison
4701 Madison Yards Way, facefoundrie.com
Opened: 2026
Owner: Alana Hohenstein
Owner’s background: I have devoted my entire career to the medical aesthetics field, specializing in devices such as lasers and radio frequency. Most recently, I ran the global corporate partnership team at Hydrafacial.
Services offered: Our menu includes specialized facials lash and brow services. Clients can choose from various enhancements added on to their facial, such as chemical peels, scalp massages, enzyme masks and dermaplaning.
What’s beneficial about your services? Beyond supporting your skin’s health, a facial represents a true act of self-care. It offers a dedicated opportunity to disconnect from technology, tune out the external world and just exhale.
The wellness habit I never skip: Double cleanse and sunscreen!
My favorite service: My go-to combination is the sculpt facial paired with a scalp massage enhancement. The facial massage techniques in this facial are incredible for depuffing the face. The scalp massage allows me to sink into a state of deep relaxation while leaving my skin truly glowing!
Saunaday
315 S. Blount St., sauna.day
Opened: 2025
Owner: Roshelle Ritzenthaler
Owner’s background: I spent my career working across architecture, and brand and experience design. I’ve always been interested in how design can be used to make people healthier.
Services offered: Saunaday is a modern bathhouse built around a five-step bathing ritual: cedar salt scrub showers, a Hammam-inspired steam room, a social cedar sauna and a quiet aspen sauna with a starry night sky, an avanto-style cold plunge designed for full-body immersion and a plant-filled lounge for rest, reading and hydration.
What’s beneficial about your services? Communal bathing benefits are both immediate and cumulative. There’s a growing body of research linking regular sauna bathing and cold water immersion to a range of benefits including cardiovascular health; stress, anxiety and depression reduction; and overall health.
The wellness habit I never skip: Taking a long walk.
My favorite service: Aufguss. This cultural ritual combines essential oil-infused snowballs with music and the movement of heat throughout the sauna using a towel or fan. It’s a full sensory experience.
