JENNIFER KRUEGER
FAVOUR A POSITIVE FORCEEVERYBODY NEEDS A MENTOR and role model. Jennifer Krueger Favour, a lieutenant with the Madison Police Department, has filled that role for two decades—inside and outside the force. “Her positivity and ‘can-do’ attitude are absolutely contagious,” says Co-Lieutenant Amy Schwartz.
In the community she’s known as the positive force who orchestrates law enforcement support to help large-scale downtown events run smoothly and safely—including the Ironman,Madison Marathon, Freakfest and Badger games. “She works tirelessly collaborating and organizing multiple organizations, both police and community,” says Schwartz.
Krueger Favour also is a passionate volunteer for Camp HERO, a Girl Scout summer camp designed to cultivate girls’ courage and confidence and show them that women, indeed, have a place in law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services careers. Part of the camp’s original steering committee, this year she’ll channel her positivity to oversee staff, volunteers and campers as co-incident commander.
She also hopes to be promoted to the rank of captain, continuing to improve the workplace for colleagues. “I want to celebrate their triumphs, and in the process, make a difference for those we serve.” It’ll follow suit with her style: leading by example.
