Ericka Mulhall opened NurturHer Aesthetics, her Fitchburg-based medical aesthetics, wellness and women’s health practice in 2020. A year later, Mulhall opened her second location in Sun Prairie to serve patients who were traveling significant distances to see her team. In 2022, Nicole Plourde, an advanced practice nurse prescriber, joined her as co-owner.
“I’m proud that we’ve grown into two locations, a team of 12 professionals, more than 5,000 patients served and have been named Best of Madison every year since 2021. But the numbers aren’t what matter most. Success today is watching our team grow into leaders, seeing patients return year after year, hearing women recommend us to their daughters, mothers and friends — and knowing we’ve built a culture where both patients and employees genuinely enjoy being here,” says Mulhall.
Beyond aesthetic services, NurturHer offers hormone replacement therapy, medical weight management, sexual wellness services, IV therapy and more.
“…We don’t see these services as separate. We believe confidence comes from treating the whole person, so we create individualized plans that combine aesthetics and wellness to help women look refreshed, feel healthier and age confidently,” says Mulhall.
As a certified registered nurse anesthetist, Mulhall draws on her medical expertise to foster a collaborative relationship with her patients.
“I realized there was an opportunity to combine medicine, artistry and wellness in a way that truly empowered patients. Rather than simply performing procedures, I wanted to build a practice where education came first, every recommendation was evidence-based and patients felt heard, respected and never pressured,” says Mulhall.
Mulhall realizes that there are misconceptions about aesthetic services — and she’s happy to dispel those.
“The biggest myth is that aesthetic treatments are about changing how you look … the best aesthetic work shouldn’t make someone look different — it should make them look like themselves on their best day. Our philosophy has always been that women don’t have to choose between loving themselves exactly as they are and investing in themselves. Those two things can exist beautifully together.”
