FOUNDED: 1983
OUR MISSION: Centro Hispano, Inc. (Centro) is a welcoming home for the Latinx community in Dane County. Our mission is to empower youth, strengthen families and engage the community. For many families, their journey starts with our Family Support team, often the first friendly face they meet. The team helps with urgent needs and connects families to education, career training, immigration legal services, and mental health support.
Our Mercadito, Farmers Market, celebrates our culture and brings neighbors together with food, music and joy. With our community partners, we help people discover new opportunities, reach their goals and build brighter futures for their families.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES: Your donation helps Centro serve about 10,000 people each year. It supports youth education and summer programs, Caminos workforce training, bilingual immigration legal services, mental health care and emergency help for immigrant families.
One gift can change the direction of someone’s life and the lives of their whole family. You’ll see the difference right away, and the impact keeps growing for years.
WAYS TO SUPPORT US:
- Donate to support our youth programs that help to inspire the next generation of leaders through education, mentorship and career development opportunities.
- Volunteer your time, skills and professional expertise to our support programs or assist at community events.
- Become a sponsor or corporate partner to support Centro’s mission through event sponsorships, financial contributions and year-round partnerships.
“Centro Hispano makes a difference in the Madison community by creating a welcoming place where individuals and families feel safe, seen and supported, while connecting them with education, career opportunities, legal assistance, mental health resources and the tools they need to build a better future.”
