This year, Bookworm Gardens—featured in our June Home & Garden issue—is part of the Gardens Across America exhibit in Washington D.C. put on by the United States Botanic Gardens. Running through October, the display highlights the diversity of public gardens across the nation, with 20 unique botanical gardens represented. Bookworm Gardens will be represented by a rendition of one of its most popular displays, titled “The Magic School Bus Plants Seeds.” The exhibit will feature the famed school bus with colorful butterfly wings, comfortable places to sit and a Little Free Library. “Bringing a version of this most cherished space to the United States Botanic Garden will be an incredible way to showcase our singular and special garden, as well as share our mission,” says Allissa Montgomery, Bookworm Gardens’ director of horticulture and facilities.
