She Had Grit and Grace

When I was a child, my mom taught me to navigate life like the ocean, finding calm in the waves, joy in the ride and strength to stand my ground without letting anyone kick sand in my face. She showed me that community, humor and connection can anchor you, even when the tide gets rough. My mom faced pancreatic cancer with grit and grace. Her strength helped shape how I show up for others at Gilda’s Club: with resilience, heart and a sense of purpose.
