What home trends are you most excited about right now?
Color drenching, which is painting the walls, ceiling and trim the same color to create an immersive, cohesive and intentionally designed space.
Another is pattern drenching, which is combining complementary patterns of different scales throughout a room, covering walls, furniture and even ceilings, to create a bold, unique, personalized space.
What colors are popular right now in interior design?
After a decade of cool gray and white palettes, we’re now seeing rich brown tones in furniture, paint, flooring and décor. Think walnut floors, vintage dark wood furniture and chocolatey velvet textiles. Mocha Mousse, a sophisticated, nougaty brown, was named Pantone’s 2025 color of the year. It pairs beautifully with soft creams, muted greens or terracotta, creating an earthy, welcoming aesthetic.
How do you create a design that stays timeless and doesn’t feel outdated after a few years?
The key to great interior design is balancing trends and ensuring the aesthetics align with comfort
and functionality. Also, well-crafted furniture, neutral palettes and natural materials will never go out of style.
