LEVEL UP: MADISON’S GAMING FUTURE
By Joyce Novacek

Few people consider Madison a video game development hub, but Jennifer Javornik wants to change that. As a cofounder of the Madison Gaming Alliance and the vice president of sales at Filament Games, she’s adamant our city can produce quality video games on par with New York City, Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley.

Filament is the only studio in the country solely focused on learning games, which are designed to actively engage all ages. Javornik spearheaded massive growth in 2015, including Filament’s first international customer—and the company’s just getting started.

Her vision’s set on more for 2016. “We want to be in every Wisconsin classroom by the year’s end,” she says.

If anyone can promote Madison as a viable alternative for video game development, it’s Javornik.
