A Steamy Retreat
Close your eyes. Conjure up the roar of the tumbling Atlantic surf. Now imagine a Nantucket estate’s grand bath, with its painted cabinets, beadboard detail and cool colors. And you’re there.
That’s the vibe these East Coast transplants were going for in their Fitchburg bathroom retreat, says designer Connie Mann of Dream/House Dream Kitchens.
“They wanted it to be functional but also wanted their style to fit their coastal aesthetic,” Mann says.
The spa-like qualities are anchored by a 6-foot-long Kohler soaking tub and a luxe shower with a two-person bench and ceiling-high glass allowing its transformation into a steam room.
Super white granite counters with a marble texture over deep, functional drawers, and in-mirror lighting complete the classic effect.
As another Wisconsin winter settles in, imagine sinking into a deep, hot soak in a fragrant bath, followed by a bone decalcifying steam.
