Madison Shamrock Shuffle
March 16, 600 block of State Street
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County puts on the annual Madison Shamrock Shuffle, and this year participants can choose a 5K or 10K run, or a 5K walk. (There’s also a virtual option.) This cheerful activity raises thousands of dollars and helps the youth organization put on programs at local schools, offer kid and teen clubs and after-school services, and assists young people with workforce development opportunities at the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center. bgcdc.org/shamrockshuffle
Luck of the Irish: A St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Brunch

Get a taste of Irish cuisine at The Deliciouser, a local spice business and cooking/event space. St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration

The Harmony Bar & Grill’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
March 16-17, Harmony Bar & Grill
The Harmony (as locals call it) is throwing a two-day St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Expect Slainté Irish Dancers, pipers and corned beef and cabbage. Also enjoy tunes by the Currach Irish Trio on March 16 and the O’Darby Irish Pub Band on March 17.

24th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade
March 17, Capitol Square (starting point)
Watch the streets of Madison go green during the city’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Dane County Shamrock Club will celebrate with the raising of the Irish flag followed by a performance by the Madison Bagpipers. Also watch for Bucky Badger and famous leprechaun, Joe Herr, who promotes local nonprofit Logan’s Heart and Smiles.
