Give the Gift of Reading This Season

During the holiday season it’s natural to start thinking about and checking off items on our gift lists for family, friends and colleagues. If you have the ability, consider adding in another recipient to your list: a favorite local nonprofit. Madison has a plethora of worthy organizations that tackle all sorts of issues, including hungerboosting the Latino community homelessness and disability rights.

Beyond distributing books, the Madison Reading Project also promotes literacy resources “that ignite a love for reading and affirm and reflects the diversity of young readers.” The nonprofit’s founder, Rowan Childs, is a past BRAVA Woman to Watch, so we love supporting the work that our W2W continue to do in our community.
