DESIGN FOR A DIFFERENCE

Oct. 15 | Centro Hispano

The United States’ largest charity design makeover took place right here in Madison this fall. Design for a Difference—Madison, a three-year-old nonprofit project sponsored by FLOOR360, brought together 38 interior designers and over 100 volunteers to achieve the $600,000 makeover of Madison’s Centro Hispano, which helps area Latino families aspire upward to reach their personal goals dreams. Each year the agency’s programs and services support 2,500 families and 4,000 individuals.

Centro’s Executive Director, Karen Coller, along with her staff, clients of Centro Hispano, and other stakeholders marveled at the facility’s facelift, which will enable the nonprofit to better serve the needs of the community. Click through the slideshow to experience the new, colorful space, full of thoughtful design touches, see the designers in the spaces they re-imagined and witness the happy tears and emotional moments shared between Centro staff and designers as the space was revealed. BRAVA Magazine is a proud media sponsor of Design for a Difference-Madison.
