March 7-10, Cafe Coda

This four-day jazz showcase features 12 artists and groups in the lineup. Attendees can enjoy tunes from the Madison Jazz Orchestra’s 19-piece ensemble on March 7; The Eddie Henderson Quartet featuring Sharp Radway on March 9; and Isaiah Collier & the Chosen Few on March 10, amongst others. Joywave: The Magnificent Midwest Tour

March 9, Majestic Theatre

The Billboard chart-making band Joywave is making a Madison stop during its Magnificent Midwest Tour. The New York-based alternative indie rock band released their latest single, “Brain Damage,” earlier this year. majesticmadison.com/event/joywave-2

The Wisconsin Book Festival’s “Tough Broad”

March 13, Madison Public Library Central Library

New York-Times bestselling author Caroline Paul will discuss her nonfiction book, “Tough Broad: From Boogie Boarding to Wing Walking — How Outdoor Adventure Improves Our Lives as We Age.” Paul will chat with Wisconsin Public Radio’s Jill Nadeau at this free event. wisconsinbookfestival.org/events/tough-broad

2024 Annual ATHENA Award Celebration

These annual awards are hosted by The Business Forum (TBF), a community of professional women that hosts networking and philanthropic events. This year’s celebration will honor 13 Madison community leaders and business owners who have dedicated their efforts to “achieving excellence in their work, devoting time to their communities and helping women realize their full potential.” Attendance raises funds toward the TBF’s scholarship program, which to date has awarded over $464,000 to women’s higher education. thebusinessforum.org/event-5518996

 Madison Symphony Orchestra’s Favorites of Mine & Your Choice!

March 15-17, Overture Center

Subscribers to the Madison Symphony Orchestra had a voice in the making of this three-day concert series. This past summer, they voted Dvořák’s New World Symphony as a crowd favorite.
