Attend This Woman-Focused Arts Fest, May 31-June 4

Join LunART, a Madison-based organization dedicated to promoting the creativity of women artists, on May 31-June 4 for their annual festival. Check out five days of arts events, featuring discussions with female artists, performances by local and national touring artists, and more.

LunART was founded in 2017 by Dr. Iva Ugrcic, who was also a 2022 BRAVA Woman to Watch.

“The idea behind LunART is to create this network for women where they can collaborate and express their voices,” explains Ugrcic. “[It’s] a platform where they [are] celebrate.”

This year’s theme is “Reimagine” and local and national artists will perform in various venues around town, including The Hamel Center on UW-Madison’s campus, Arts + Literature Laboratory and the Goodman Community Center. Watch as guitar rock legend June Millington talks about her career and performs, listen to a discussion about how heritage influences artistic expression and listen to a chamber music concert.
