Every third Friday, Cafe CODA invites Red Door Duo for your kickstart of the great weekend!
Red Door is a musical couple composed of award-winning singer-songwriter and 2014 International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion, Helen Avakian, joining forces with acclaimed jazz, bluegrass, and Brazilian fingerstyle guitarist, Dave Irwin. They perform Eclectic Americana songs and instrumentals and are especially known for their fingerstyle guitar music. For this Cafe Coda performance, they will also bring in Brazilian and American jazz, plus some seasonal tunes.
The two have thrilled audiences around the U.S. with their wildly imaginative sets featuring captivating new works, classic covers, and even reinterpretations of Baroque and Classical masterworks. “Much to marvel at… full of life and energy.” Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
