BlueStem Jazz is back on the Garver Patio featuring the music stylings of Dave Bayles and crew. The group has just finished recording its first production, “Dave Bayles Trio – Live at the Uptowner” with a release date of this summer.
Dave Bayles has performed at many jazz venues in Chicago, Milwaukee, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington D.C. As a clinician for Yamaha Music Corporation and Zildjian Cymbals, he travels and teaches widely throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Russ Johnson is a recent Midwest transplant after spending 23 years as an important member of New York City’s jazz community. He has 7 recordings as a leader or co-leader and more than 75 recordings as a sideman. Russ has performed in more than 40 countries across the globe.
Clay Schaub has been a professional jazz bassist since 2000. He worked for years in the New York City jazz scene as a skilled sideman, performing regularly with Greg Ruggiero, Michael Kanan, Gregory Tardy, Bob Mover, Frank Morgan, and Joe Bonner, to name a few.
