Zonta Club of Madison and The League of Voters of Dane County present Advocacy into Action Event. The focus is to kickoff a statewide campaign to advocate for adding the Equal Rights Amendment(ERA )to the Wisconsin Constitution. It features speakers who are national advocates of the ERA. Wisconsin was one of the first states to ratify the Federal ERA but has yet to add it to the state Constitution. The ERA would provide expanded rights for women and minorities. At a time when women’s rights are in danger it is critical to pass a State ERA. Free and open to the public.
