Events include hands-on science exhibitions\, demonstrations\, performances\, tours\, pub nights\, workshops and more. \nFounded in 2011 on the premise that art and science go hand-in-hand\, the festival has grown from a few days of events in Madison to a full week of activities spanning over a hundred cities. The Wisconsin Science Festival continues to grow\, welcoming new event hosts and attendees every year. Join us October 16-26\, 2025 to unleash your curiosity! The Wisconsin Science Festival welcomes all disciplines utilizing science\, technology\, or art to explore and nurture curiosity. Each year\, we spotlight a specific topic to emphasize its significance and value to the state and its people. SUMMARY:Fish for the Future Display at the State Capitol
DESCRIPTION:On July 12\, 2025\, we made history.\nAt the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee\, a stunning 86\,262 origami fish came together to form the largest display of origami fish ever created — a world record! Each fish carried a message of hope and determination: shut down Line 5 and protect our Great Lakes. \nNow\, this incredible wave of color and community is swimming to the Wisconsin Capitol. Soon\, our state’s most powerful decision-makers will see just how big\, bold\, and united the call to shut down Line 5 has become. The fish are on the move — and so is this movement.
