The event features “The Invisible Mammal”\, a feature-length documentary film about bats\, infectious disease\, and women in science. In this intensely cinematic film\, bats are rendered poetically visible: spectacularly streaming out of caves or bridges\, or cradled in a gloved hand\, wings extended. This film follows a team of women scientists trying to save bats from the deadly White-nose Syndrome\, which is putting North American bats at threat of extinction. Following the film\, engage with a diverse panel of women in the conservation field. Stations throughout the grounds will lead visitors through the history and science of maple syruping in Wisconsin. Participants will learn how to tap trees and make REAL maple syrup as well as enjoy a variety of themed activities. It really is a sticky-sweet way to kick-off spring! \nExciting activities include: \n-Learn how to tap a tree and make maple syrup with hands-on activities\n-Sample real tree sap\, maple syrup\, and maple cream\n-Test your nature smarts with maple syrup trivia\n-Try your hand at using early 20th century tools\n-Visit the rustic Children’s Shack\n-Hike the trails\, searching for signs that spring is on the way\n-Enjoy ice cream topped with maple syrup\, for a small donation \nThis event is FREE and open to the PUBLIC! The Melvv-produced Something to Say to You arrived in 2021\, followed by 2022’s Face the Wall\, both of which found Jordana building upon her love of ’90s indie rock and continuing to hone her sound. She has also collaborated on singles\, joining forces with Yot Club for 2023’s “Safe House” and Paul Cherry for 2024’s “My Idol\,” lyrical collaborations that set the stage for the folky\, ’60s and ’70s sunshine pop sound she embraced on 2024’s Lively Premonition.
