SUMMARY:Madison Theatre Guild's An Ideal Husband
DESCRIPTION:Madison’s longest running community theatre company performs Oscar Wilde’s beloved comedy An Ideal Husband at the historic Bartell Theatre in downtown Madison. \nIn this amusing modern spin on Oscar Wilde’s tale of money\, malice and matrimony\, hilarity and drama ensue as The Chilterns navigate the perils of protecting their moral high ground while campaigning\, being blackmailed and partying amongst The Real Housewives of D.C. Expect to laugh and be reminded that no one is ideal\, but (most) everyone is worthy of love and forgiveness. \nPerformed on the Drury Stage

SUMMARY:Virtual Year-Long Village Herbal Apprenticeship Program for Women
DESCRIPTION:About the event: \nThis program is focused on incorporating herbs into daily life to promote health. Subsequent sessions build on this knowledge and participants develop a first aid kit\, learning to apply herbs for common injuries and ailments. Additionally\, everyone will learn to harvest plants through the seasons. Generally speaking\, this means leaves and buds in the spring\, flowers in the summer\, seeds\, and roots in the fall\, and from the pantry in the winter. Plant medicine for specific body systems will be discussed and a list of herbs for each system will be developed by the group. Participants who wish to receive additional guidance can work with Linda for 2-3 years. \nPlease be willing to make a one-year commitment to this program. The program begins on September 28\, 2025\, and meets most Sunday evenings until September 26\, 2026 for 3 hours via video chat\, and apprentices will be expected to make time for 3-5 hours of homework per week. There will be occasional sessions that we will not be meeting due to Linda’s schedule. For these sessions assignments will be offered and we will review the assignments together. Each participant will meet quarterly with the instructor in order to assess and develop learning goals. Apprentices who have completed all assignments and have participated in all the sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible for further study as an intern or clinical apprentice with Linda Conroy of Moonwise Herbs.
