DESCRIPTION:Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County for THE HUNT\, a county-wide scavenger hunt that features fun and engaging Missions that get HUNTers outside and exploring their local community. Participants will form teams with friends\, family\, and colleagues\, and work together to earn points and compete for prizes. Using a scavenger hunt app\, teams submit photos/videos to complete Missions featuring Madison landmarks\, local businesses\, and fun at-home challenges. The event runs April 25th to May 18th.

DESCRIPTION:Beaver logs\, sock bikes\, serpentine slide scales\, and costumes galore! Join Madison Children’s Museum for a special\, free tour highlighting the work of fiber artist Renee Roeder. Renee contributed whimsical stitchery to countless exhibits as part of the museum’s team of local artists and makers over the past 30 years. She passed away in February 2025\, much too soon\, but her work lives on and continues to inspire children and staff at MCM every day. \nJoin museum staff for a tour highlighting some of her many pieces created for MCM and our community’s children. Free tours will begin at 6:15 and 7 pm outdoors in the Wonderground\, during MCM’s “Live from the Wonderground” all-ages concert series. DESCRIPTION:The third annual American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Celebration of Hope Gala will raise funds for suicide prevention\, education\, and research in the state of Wisconsin. The evening will include an elegant meal\, a silent auction\, and a wine/bourbon/NA spirits pull. This year\, the chapter will celebrate the contributions of three distinguished honorees who have made a profound impact on mental health awareness and suicide prevention\, helping to create a world where no one feels alone in their struggles: Mission Impact Honoree Terry McGuire\, host of the Giving Voice to Depression podcast; Community Impact Honoree Jeffrey Ditzenberger\, Navy veteran and prominent advocate for mental health and suicide prevention in agriculture and society; and Social Impact Honoree Jean Papalia\, a retired City of Madison Police officer who spent many years establishing partnerships in the mental health community.
