DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Earth Day 2025\, Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin and Hilldale Shopping Center are partnering once again to host a free electronics recycling and donation drop-off event on Saturday\, April 26\, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The event will take place in the South parking lot behind L.L. Bean at Hilldale Shopping Center (726 N Midvale Blvd\, Madison\, WI 53705). \nBuilding on last year’s success\, which saw over 10\,000 pounds of donations collected\, this drive-through\, drop-off event provides the community with a safe\, convenient\, and eco-friendly way to recycle electronics of any condition and donate clothing or household items. \nThrough Goodwill’s Dell Reconnect partnership\, electronics—whether working or not—will be responsibly recycled\, preventing them from ending up in local landfills. Items accepted include computers\, laptops\, printers\, monitors\, hard drives\, cell phones\, video game systems\, cameras\, cables\, holiday string lights\, and more. Attendees will learn to distinguish between hereditary and sporadic cancers\, helping to identify when genetic counseling may be beneficial.
