Come to MMoCA the first Friday in June to celebrate the opening of Kambui Olujimi: Zulu Time. Olujimi is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice calls attention to the assumptions that underlie our understanding of the world and each other. Guests may explore the exhibition from 6-9 pm. At 6:30 pm, the artist will give a talk addressing the exhibition, his work, and ideas around current social, economic, and political landscapes. Guests will be treated to a mixture of classical violin, hip hop, trap, jazz, and R&B music from Alida LaCosse & Cooper Talbot. Hors d’oeuvres from Fresco and a cash bar will be available in the lobby. Seating capacity for the talk is limited. MMoCA Openings are free for members and $10 for non-members.
