brava's Circulation
At least 20,000 copies of brava are printed each month with additional thousands printed frequently for distribution at charitable events sponsored by brava and at our annual Madison Women's Expo (which welcomes over 7,000 women every November).
A full 75 percent of the copies included in the monthly print run are mailed directly to our extensive list of subscribers throughout the Madison area and its surrounding communities.
Thousands of copies are delivered to newsstands each month including Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores, independent retail businesses, professional offices and reception areas/waiting rooms throughout south central Wisconsin.
The remaining copies are available for sale at our Madison office.
brava's Readership
At brava, we choose to use the industry standard of 2.5-3 readers per issue. Therefore, we conservatively estimate that more than 60,000 readers enjoy brava each month! Plus, many times throughout the year we provide bonus distribution by directly distributing our publication to each individual who attends the many events we support. We'll get your message directly to your current and future customers.

General File Submission Guidelines
Ads up to 2MB in size can be submitted via email to your brava account executive. If you're unsure who your account executive is, please email the ad to our Senior Designer-Advertising, Cayce Johnson at cjohnson@ericksonpublishing.com. An FTP site is available for ads over 2MB in size. Please contact the Cayce for details. The resolution of all images must be at least 300* dpi (dots per inch). All images, logos and colors must be CMYK. NO SPOT COLORS! To ensure rich black, make sure the CMYK values are 40-40-30-100. We have the following software versions: Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3, Quark Xpress 7. We can use the following document types: TIFF, PDF**, EPS, Photoshop, Illustrator***, and Quark Xpress. If your document is not any of the above formats and we must convert them, we cannot be responsible for their print quality. All fonts must have both screen and print versions, and be useable on a Mac. Please allow a 1/4" bleed on all four sides for full page ads; no other ad sizes bleed. Ads MUST be built to the exact required size as indicated.
*DO NOT resave a 72 dpi image at 300 dpi, as the quality will not improve; the original image must be of good quality.
**If you are sending a PDF, BE SURE that none of the components contain any RGB, spot colors, or JPEG files. All of the pieces that go into making a PDF should also adhere to the above guidelines. We cannot make changes to PDFs. Any changes must be made by you in the original files used to make the PDF.
***Unless you are sending along the fonts with an Illustrator file, all type must be converted to outlines.
Warning: Low-resolution images don’t print well! Many images, particularly 72 dpi jpegs taken off the Internet, look jagged and blurry when printed using crisp, professional lithography on glossy stock. For best results, we recommend that your images be at least 300 dpi. Caution: It’s best if you convert your images from RGB to CMYK, because you will have more control over the appearance of your printed piece if you convert all of the images from RGB to CMYK before sending them to us. When we receive RGB images, we do a standard-value conversion to CMYK, which may not be to your liking. You can use popular programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Photo Deluxe to perform the conversions. Please take the time to prepare your files properly. We cannot be responsible for less than ideal results if you furnish low-resolution/RGB images, and do not adhere to the above guidelines.
